I'm using DialOut/IP and am planning on upgrading to DialOut/EZ version 4.5. What do I need to know?

As of version 4.5, our DialOut/IP and DialOut/EZ products are merging into a single DialOut/EZ product.

If you are using any version 4.x DialOut/IP Seat Edition product, you can upgrade to version 4.5 of DialOut/EZ and use your same license keys.  However, you should manually uninstall DialOut/IP before DialOut/EZ is installed so that the settings will be preserved.

If you are using any version 4.x DialOut/IP Site Edition product, please contact sales@TacticalSoftware.com to receive your free DialOut/EZ Site Edition license key.

Once you replace the DialOut/IP License Manager with the DialOut/EZ License Manager, here are the things to keep in mind:

By default the DialOut/EZ 4.5 License Manager will be able to serve any version 3.x/4.x (including the new version 4.5) DialOut/EZ Site Edition clients.

If you still have DialOut/IP clients in your network, select the "DialOut/IP Compatibility Mode" option in the DialOut/EZ License Manager.  When you do this the DialOut/EZ License Manager will be able to send licenses to any DialOut/IP version 3.x/4.x client and DialOut/EZ version 4.5+ Site Edition clients.  However, in this mode you will not be able to serve licenses to DialOut/EZ pre-4.5 version Site Edition clients.
