How do you start and stop TTYredirector when using a distribution (such as Debian) that doesn't have an /etc/rc.d/init.d directory?
If the /etc/rc.d/init.d directory does not exist in your distribution (such as on Debian systems) then you can stop and start TTYredirector with the following commands:
As root, enter the following command to stop the daemon:
/usr/local/sbin/ttyredirectord --stop
As root, enter the following command to start the daemon:
/usr/local/sbin/ttyredirectord --start
