I'm running the License Manager or TacServe on a 64-bit Windows operating system. Why can't I see these programs from Manage Computer or via the MMC on other machines?

The 64-bit version of the Microsoft Management Console is launched, yet our snap-in is still 32-bit.  There are two workarounds:
  1. For users just managing the local machine, launching TacServe or the License Manager from the Start Menu item that is installed will result in an MMC that only shows our snap-in (just like on 32-bit).
  2. For users who want to remotely manage another machine, or want to see our snap-in alongside the other default snap-ins, launch the 32-bit MMC manually with the following command line:    mmc /32 compmgmt.msc
