Why isn't your virtual COM port listed when attempting to install a modem driver?

There are two ways to correct this issue:

Either enter an IP address and TCP port number for the COM port in the redirector or uncheck the "Synchronize with Server Upon COM Port Open" option under the Advanced settings.

After one of the above items is done, the COM port will appear in the Windows Add Modem applet.
