June 24, 2005 — Tactical Software today announced that licenses for the upcoming version 4.4 of its TacServe COM Port Server software will include unlimited free copies of the customer's choice of dial-out or serial device redirector software.
The DialOut/EZ and Serial/IP COM Port Redirectors will now be available in TacServe Editions that can be installed without a license key on any number of computer using a TacServe-based modem server or serial server.
An option for SSL encryption will enable secure operation of TacServe and the redirectors over untrusted networks and the Internet.
Pricing and packaging are to be announced later this month.
