February 27, 2006 — Tactical Software today announced that version 4.6 of the Tactical Software product line is now shipping to customers and available for evaluation download.
Version 4.6 increases the maximum capacity of Tactical Software Serial/IP, DialOut/EZ, and COM/IP COM Port Redirectors to 4,096 virtual COM ports. Supporting this increase are numerous optimizations in performance and system memory usage for large applications.
Along with the increase in capacity, version 4.6 adds a new features for quickly replicating virtual COM port configurations and new tracing options that make it easy to isolate specified ports when testing large applications.
