Using License Keys

For all license keys

  • If I am currently using trial software, will I need to reinstall new software?
No. The trial software is the standard release of the software that automatically used a 30-day timed license key when you did not enter a license key during installation.
  • Will my license key expire?
No. Tactical issues permanent license keys.
  • When I enter a license key, do I need to restart the redirector or Windows?
No. The license key becomes effective immediately.
  • Does the license limit the number of virtual COM ports that I can create?
No. The license controls the number of active virtual COM ports, which are the ports that have been opened by your application software. You can create additional ports.
  • Can I use a license key for more than one installation?
Doing so is a violation of the license agreement and causes both installations to suspend operation until unique license keys are used or the extra copies are uninstalled. See License Conflict for more information.
